Trade Capacity Building Workshops - Spring 2010
Workshops in the Middle East and North Africa
As a follow-on to 2009's successful “Maximizing Trade with the United States (US)” Seminars in the Middle East, IESC completed a series of Trade Capacity Building Workshops under an award from the US Department of State US - Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) in Bahrain, Oman and Morocco. These workshops assisted firms in better accessing business opportunities and doing business with US firms under their respective countries’ Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with the United States. During these workshops, senior-level expert trainers provided interactive workshops on specified topics to assist firms capitalize on opportunities under the FTAs. One-on-One Sessions
To complement these discussions, IESC offered one-on-one sessions between enterprises and trainers for two days following each workshop to give firms the opportunity to address individual issues. Participants in each country had the opportunity to sign up for a one-on-one session with an IESC representative at each workshop.
