John R. Torell Retires as Board Chair
After serving a decade as IESC’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, John Torell is stepping down from the position. He will be sorely missed as he has selflessly contributed his time and energy to the success of our organization. Much of our success is undeniably due to his creative and innovative leadership; he has been an inspiration to all of us at IESC. The IESC staff and Board are deeply appreciative of his leadership and would like to congratulate John on his very successful tenure. He will continue to serve as a Board member for the foreseeable future.
Don Taggart Appointed as new Board Chair
Succeeding John Torell is long-time Board and Audit Committee member, Don Taggart. We are grateful that he is taking on this role and confident that Don’s recent appointment will position us to move forward. His predecessor, John Torell said of Don’s appointment: “I have talked to Don at length, and he is very enthusiastic about this appointment and has high expectations for the future. Don has served as Chairman of the IESC Audit Committee for ten years with distinction and been active on the Pension and Planning Committees. He is the Chairman and CEO of PEFCO, a hugely successful financier of large ticket American exports around the world. PEFCO is owned by 25 major commercial banks, two finance companies and six large industrial companies and operates actively with the Export-Import Bank, The World Bank and other financial institutions. Don's background will be very valuable to IESC's future.”
